I was told that "she's not on the typical path." We were given the order to graduate from ICU, but in God's provision, there were no beds available so we stayed one more night.

There seems to be more regurgitation from her valves. So back on some medication to help that, which requires her to stay in the ICU. This will help relax her stiff heart right now while it continues to try to adjust to it's new plumbing.

They will do another a heart echo tonight to review and get a good look. Our prayer is that her valves will be able to function as necessary. Hopefully all this just means she just needs more time...

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. "

Hi Erin

I have been keeping up with your blog but seem to always have Ella on my lap which makes it hard to type and leave a comment. Sorry things aren't going "typical" but praying that they will be soon. Are your other kids home, with family? Can I take a meal by? I will be down in SD on Saturday, can I bring a meal by to you there? Please let me know how I can help besides with prayers.

Praying for all of you, but especially for your sweet girl that her little heart would do just what it's supposed to. Everything in God's time!!

I continue to pray to the Lord for taylor and you all.
I am confident that God is working now as we speak, and pray. I am also confident that we will all praise Him for His mighty works through Taylor, the doctors and your family.

"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 1That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Still praying for Lady Tay and hoping her teeny heart is just taking a bit to gather its bearings after so many surprise bumps and bruises during surgery.

Trusting that the hands that made that little strawberry are secretly, silently and miraculously working to stitch it back together...

Hugs to you as you wait through the healing process that aches your heart as much as hers!
