So.....we are going to get "home" out of our minds for awhile. That's been the hardest struggle this week. That main question, "So when do you think she can go home?" They can't say right now. They are doing what they feel is necessary to help give Tay the best fighting chance. It hurts not be able to take her home... more to let go and give to God.

We are now being told Taylor will need to continue to receive the IV to support her heart for at least another 2 weeks. From there..not sure. Things are always changing. Time will tell. She has been doing so great otherwise. Our prayer is for when they start weening her off. I don't know how long she will be here then, under watch. The concern will be that valve and managing it. She's to little to have a replacement valve at this time.

On a side note, we are seeing ways to connect with others here. I met a mom yesterday who shared how she's been praying for a friends. They've had it rough this past year, staying here with their baby for most of his 9 months. They still don't have a lot of answers yet. Our older kids have been doing school together, so I finally introduced myself. It's been great to talk with her, here their story and just be an encouragement to each other. God is always working in the midst. We continue to grow as we yield to His way not ours.

Erin, you constantly AMAZE me with your trusting heart and patience. I know how hard it must be to keep your chin up and keep "plugging". Hang in there, Sweetie! We long for all of you to go home soon, and for Taylor to be fully restored, even better than new! God loves you all so much! "HE supplies all our needs, even before we think of them!" Hope to see you very soon!

We too experienced a really long hospital stay with our Carter. It is hard and challenging and you never know when you are going to be able to go home. But through it all, I was amazed with the strength I was given to get through it. I was thankful for the prayers from others who were mindful of our situation - and so from one friend to another we offer our prayers that you too will find that strength. You are stronger than you know - and so is that sweet angel of yours. Hope today is a better day for you sweet Taylor!

OK.... we will all stop asking you "when do you get to go home"? We forget, Erin, that you get asked this question by so many - I hope you remember it's only because we all care so much for you all! Try to hang in there. I'm SO glad to hear that Taylor is slowly making improvements every day - that's wonderful. Do you know that is the FIRST thing I check, when I get home every night, how she is doing? It's the highlight of my day, to hear she's doing a bit better. Do you feel the prayers and love going up, on your behalf? We will keep praying. Love to all of you!
