Taylor is doing better. Her lungs have improved and she has been eating well.

The doctors want to keep our girl in the ICU another week. They are going to support her heart a little longer through IV medication, giving it just a bit more time. They can't explain what happened this past week after she was doing so well, except that there were a lot of factors that could have come into play.

It does most-likely look like the mitral valve will need to be replaced down the road. In the meantime, the goal would be to get her to grow as big as possible. Time and healing would only be able to tell.

Taylor does still look tired and weak as well as a lot thinner. Hopefully as she continues to eat and feel better, she will perk up and get stronger. We need to work on getting her chubby rolls back!

Hi Erin....I am so sorry that I haven't written you more comments but I wanted you to know that I have been keeping up on everything that is going on with Taylor. The computer I use at the hospital is a pain to type on so I don't do much commenting. I am so sorry that this surgery didn't go completely as planned but I am thankful that it looks like she has turned a corner and is on the mend now. I will continue praying for a perfect recovery!! At least we are still getting to see some great smiles from her.....just think of me as your fellow Ronald McDonald House friend :) And thanks for continuing to follow and pray for Ella. She is doing really well right now.

She will gain A LOT of weight now that the surgery is over. We can't keep Marissa out of the pantry haha. I'm glad to hear that things are looking up and that the care team is taking such good care of her.
